Generosity, an often forgotten ideal, is found in various parts of the Bible. It is indeed important in the life of a Christian. Both Daniel and the Lord Christ exhorted us to help others, as doesn’t always have to do with money at all, but can be giving people other valuable resources such as time.
There are many ways to help others indeed, and several don’t have to do with financial resources or those who lack basic needs. Trivial and random situations, such as giving friendly advice/tips to travelers in a foreign country can help them have a much better experience; these situations offer simple and easy opportunities for generosity which glorify God.
I am convinced that the most beautiful words on the topic of generosity in the world are in the Bible. Our amazing Lord has guaranteed that being generous will make us happy once we practice it. Always keeping in mind that if we do in secret as Matthew 6:3 relays, then God will reward our generosity.
