10 Wonderful Things Every Christian Needs To Know About Heaven

Once the Lord comes like a thief in the night, and when people are least expecting it, He’ll whisk away every single one of his beloved saved people.

Not every detail about the afterlife for the saved populace have been communicated to Christians, but a few have certainly been. They were put in the Bible by our Lord when He revealed them to John in the book of Revelation. Since then, these are meant to be our incredible inspiration, our reminder to be inspired to live a lifestyle that is worthy of Heaven, exactly how Colossians 3:2-4 states:

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. ² Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. ³ For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory”.

So, with these mind-blowing things revealed by God to the Apostle John, be inspired today to live a lifestyle that is worthy of Heaven:

1. There Will Be Pleasures Better Than On Earth

⁹ However, as it is written:

Eating, sleeping, drinking coffee, reading, traveling all of these are pleasures you enjoy HERE on Earth, but on heaven,  there are pleasures prepared that surpass anything a human could ever experience.

2. No Night

We find on Revelation 21:25 which describes something astonishing:

^{25 “}On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there”.

3. No Sun

Since there will be no night, then would it be normal if there obviously was a constant sun? However, we find in Revelation 21:23 a truth about sunshine in Heaven:

^{23 “}The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. ²⁴ The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it”.

3. Rewards For Good Works

In Biblical Christianity, there is no salvation or extra “goodness” that comes to a person by doing things that are good, however our beautiful Lord emphasizes that there will be specific rewards in Heaven for believers that after being saved, accumulated a lot of good deeds on Earth, since we find in Revelation 22:12:

¹² “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. ¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End”.

That is so amazing and exciting.

Also, Revelation 3:11 speaks of the crowns our beautiful Lord will give to those who are faithful:

¹¹ I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown”.

4. Gold Streets

²¹ The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass”.

5. Walls Made Of Precious Stones

^{18 “}The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. ¹⁹ The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, ²⁰ the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst”.

6. No Pain, No War, Death, Or Unhappiness

Revelation 21:4-5:

⁴ ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

⁵ He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

7. No One Will Remember Anything About Earth

We find on Isaiah 65:17-18 what our God specifically says about past memories on this planet:

17 “See, I will create
    new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered,
    nor will they come to mind”.

8. The Human Body Will Be Transformed Into An Incorruptible Body

Philippians 3:20-21:

^{20 “}But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, ²¹ who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body”.

9. Special Dwellings For Each Believer

Isaiah 65:21 states:

21 “They will build houses and dwell in them;
    they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit”.

Also our beautiful Lord in John 14:3 also states:

^{3 “}And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. ⁴ You know the way to the place where I am going.”

10. Mesmerizing, Indescribable Beauty

Revelation 22:1-4: “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb ² down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

³ No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. ⁴ They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads”.

I encourage you, my dear Christian, who loves the Lord Jesus to remember these mind-blowing revelations about Heaven everyday, and use these to get inspired and motivated to live the Heaven-worthy lifestyle. With the dream of heaven in your heart and mindset, your entire life will change, because going to Heaven and being with the Lord Jesus is going to be better than anything else in the world.
