The most special time of the year is here! That time when the whole world(except Muslim countries and parts of Asia) celebrates the birth of our beloved Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!
However, the secular world(as it always does), has managed to shift Christmas’ rightful focus on Jesus to other things that are definitely not the reason for the season.
Several years ago when Christmas in American homes was more Christ-filled than it is now, you could ask: “How could a holiday like this ever lose its focus?… that’s impossible… I mean it’s the one time of the year that is ALL about Jesus”.
Well, thanks to diverse marketing tactics and other efforts that have been devoted to this issue, people often forget, substitute, or omit the Reason for the season.
For this reason, we must take back Christmas for our Savior, and put it where it belongs. Here are the ultimate, 5 top ways for every Christian to make Christmas ALL about Jesus:
1. Say “Merry Christmas” and not “Happy Holidays”
In recent years, you might have noticed an increase in the amount of people, advertisements, stores, malls, restaurants, airlines, and all kinds of emails that say “Happy Holidays” instead of the rightful Merry Christmas.
Sorry but we’re Christians, not Jews or Muslims. We say Merry Christmas and not Happy Holidays, which apparently is a mixture of Hanukkah and whatever else that it’s meant to include.
Despite the fact that the amount of people that say “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”, we must not worry. We can pray and take the amazing steps to change this!
We must always be encouraged to say “Merry Christmas” aloud and proudly. This is THE celebration for Christians, because it is all about our Savior.
2. Annihilate Santa Claus
In the past few years, it seems that this character that really has nothing to do with the essence of Christmas has infiltrated our Christ-centered holiday.
Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, not the birth of Santa Claus. So I would imagine why some commercials devote so much time for promoting Santa Claus on Christmas?
It might seem silly, but small things like this send a POWERFUL message.
Therefore, every Christian must take every step in his power to annihilate all traces of Santa Claus from Christmas, including even something as trivial as Santa Claus hats.
So in this year, take the necessary action to enjoy a Christ-centered Christmas by instructing you family, children and all kinds of relatives to just avoid all Santa Claus-related themes, objects, mentions or elements.
When you have done so, you’ll be glad you did.
3. Play Christian Christmas Carols All Over Your House
From Joy To The World, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Silent Night, you really can take your pick when it comes to playing a Christ-centered Christmas song in your home.
For obvious reasons, the “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” song shouldn’t be played in a Christ-centered home, but a song like “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” is likely acceptable.
What better way to let the guests that arrive at your home know that this is a Christ-centered home that celebrates a Christ-centered Christmas?

4. Watch a Christian Christmas movie
Watching a Christmas movie can be great and you can enjoy it with your whole family on Christmas eve or whenever you choose.
My favorite one is The Nativity Story.
5. Binge-read All Christmas Bible verses
Christmas Bible verses will refresh your insight of the Christmas story, and keep you sharp on all the events that brought the greatest salvation to this planet.
You can read them with your family on Christmas eve as well!
As the non-Christian world continues to make ludicrous attempts to curtail the essence of Christmas, we must fight to put Christmas back in the place where it belongs.
Those of us who know the truth will always continue to worship the one and only reason why we even have a “Christmas” at all: our amazing Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And, we must not let any of the things mentioned above happen to Christmas.
Therefore, I encourage you to take the steps described above to put back Christmas right where it belongs, make it great again, and enjoy it completely.
