Dancing is found in various instances in the Bible, most of which are in the Old Testament.
When one stumbles upon a passage of Scripture in which there is dancing, it might lead oneself to wonder if dancing has a particular meaning in the Bible. Indeed, dancing does possess a special meaning in the Bible, and it is a way of praising God.

As seen in Exodus 15:20 and Judges 11:34, the women of Israel had the custom of greeting warriors who were victorious in battle by dancing collectively, celebrating the safe return home of the men.
