11 Bible Verses About Dancing – What Does The Bible Say About Dancing?

Dancing is found in various instances in the Bible, most of which are in the Old Testament.

When one stumbles upon a passage of Scripture in which there is dancing, it might lead oneself to wonder if dancing has a particular meaning in the Bible. Indeed, dancing does possess a special meaning in the Bible, and it is a way of praising God.

We find dancing in the Bible in the context of Temple worship when the Temple of Solomon still stood, festivals and celebration and in some certain secular occasions.

As seen in Exodus 15:20 and Judges 11:34, the women of Israel had the custom of greeting warriors who were victorious in battle by dancing collectively, celebrating the safe return home of the men.
