3 Christian Habits For Anyone That Wants A Stress Free Life

The Lord has provided us with AMAZING ways to combat stress and get rid of it for good. It’s crazy just how much people want a stress free life. With everyday life, it’s definitely true that stress can sometimes be really overwhelming.

Stress can really be damaging for your health. That is why people seek all kinds of remedies for it, you name it: therapists, massages, pills, stress-relieving balls, psychologists sessions and everything like that. But we have an amazing God who loves us and can lead our daily lives in a better, stress free way, with his beautiful power that is much better than any other remedy out there. With these three Christian habits, you are guaranteed to live a stress free life.

Here are those three amazing Christian habits that will insanely help you attain a stress free life:

  1. Praying

If you don’t pray, the overwhelm of your stress will overcome you, because by skipping prayer you just don’t qualify to be in God’s peaceful presence. Our Lord Jesus stated in John 14:27 his promise of the peace in his presence:

John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”.

Besides being the number one way to walk with God, the benefits of praying permeate to your physical, mental, and emotional health. It is just AMAZING. It is SO necessary in order to live a stress free life. In fact, it is essential. Vital.

Get down on your knees, pray and worship and praise. The Biblical men and women in the Word of God prayed (not just when they when to church on Sundays) at least three times a day.

Daniel 6:10 (NIV): “10 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before”.

One of the reasons it can work wonders for your stress free state is that it will keep you in God’s presence and away from the hassle of the world. Trust me.

In addition, NEVER lose faith that God will answer your prayer. The Lord will take your stress away by giving you whatever you asked for! He will answer it! If you pray effectively and are not living a life of sin/committed a sin before praying, he will answer it.

2. Reading

Reading isn’t optional. In our daily walk with the Lord, reading it’s a must and it’s also a process.

Let’s explain this process and why this Christian habit is so important to your stress free life in a mathematical way. It’s fun to look at everything like it is a mathematical equation.

A + B + C = D

Here’s how this process works out.

A, if you are constantly reading the Word of God, you are constantly acquiring essential knowledge of it.

B, If you are constantly acquiring this essential knowledge, you will be constantly filled with the knowledge of the Word of God; and therefore (D) you are constantly better equipped with the knowledge that’ll help you in everyday situations, of what can harm your peace, and how to fight against it.

This is why our beautiful Lord stated in Hosea 4:6:

Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge”.

Never skip Bible study. This is essential because for example, if you are constantly feeding your life with the Word of God, which is the best way to approach absolutely any subject in your life, you know this vital verse:

1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you”.

If I did not study the Bible at all, I would never have found out about that astonishingly beautiful Bible verse that makes my life be SO stress free.

Let’s go onto the next but definitely not least Christian habit.

Paul explained what our beautiful Lord Jesus stated in Acts 20:35 about the most beautiful thing about giving:

Acts 20:35: “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

As always, science confirms everything the Word of our beautiful God states.

Peter Singer, researcher and professor of Bioethics in the University Center for Human Values at Princeton University, reported on Business Insider the following:

“In one experiment people were asked to come in and they were given a modest amount of money. And they were randomly selected and some of them were told, “Go and spend this on yourself; buy something nice for yourself.” And others were told, “Go and spend this on someone else; do something that’s good for someone else.”

“And at the end of the day, they were asked to come back and they were asked to rate how well their day had gone. And there was a significant difference. And the people who were asked to the spend money on others and who did that reported much more positively about their day than the others did”.

You can learn more about how what the Lord Jesus stated first is continuously confirmed by this scientific research from Princeton on Business Insider.

Our Lord also warned about wanting to get rich and why that can be a bad thing for you. You can learn more about why you will NOT want to get rich in your life by clicking here. Keeping a middle-class status will make you far happier and less greedy and far more likely to get into Heaven, thus fulfilling the Lord Jesus’ guidelines.

That’s a topic that is DEEPLY discussed in another post :)!

Going back to giving, make this a habit in your everyday life.

And the best part about it is that it doesn’t require any money at all.

In case you’re wondering, giving doesn’t have anything to do with money.

Giving can be anything that can bless another person. You can give with your time, your company, your smile, or just your Christian comfort to another person.

That’s it for this post! I am SO grateful our Lord takes cares of us by giving us these habits to follow. Stress can really damage your health. That is why it is important to have stress free life, which only the Lord the give with his beautiful power! If you feel like you struggle with anxiety too, go to this post, which will greatly help you with that.
